Measuring windows for Woven Woods & 2" Wood Blinds

Based on the window design, you have choice to mount your hard window covering mounted inside or outside the window casing. Please ensure to measure your windows carefully with a wooden, metal rule, or steel tape. Use of cloth tape is not recommended.

For Woven Woods (Wood & Faux Wood) - The factory tolerance for width is +/- 1/8" & length is 3/4".
For 2" Horizontal Blinds (Wood & Faux Wood) - The factory tolerance for width is +/- 1/8" & length is 5/8".

Outside Mount: Outside mount on your wall or molding can hide imperfection by covering edges of unsymmetrical windows and eliminates the 1/4" gap around the shade which results from an inside mount. It makes your window appear larger and provides a more open view. Provide measurements of the exact area you want to cover, including any overlap on the surrounding wall. All measurements should be rounded down to the nearest 1/8 inch. Note: You must add at least 2 inches above the window to allow space for mounting brackets.

Inside Mount: Measure width (from left to right) at inside top, center and bottom of window opening with a steel measuring tape. Use the narrowest width measurement (round down to the nearest 1/8 inch). Measure height (from top to bottom) at inside left, center and right of window opening. Use the shortest length measurement (round down to the nearest 1/8 inch). If your window is considerably out of square, consider Outside Mounting to conceal the irregularity.

For Woven Woods (Wood & Faux Wood) - The manufacturer will automatically deduct 1/2" for Finished Width & 1/2" deduction for the Finished Length.
For 2" Horizontal Blinds (Wood & Faux Wood) - The manufacturer will automatically deduct 3/8" for Finished Width & 0" deduction for the Finished Length.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY DEDUCTIONS IN YOUR INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENTS.

Important: For operating clearances, it is necessary to make inside mount shades 1/2 inch narrower than the inside window measurement (1/2 inch for each side). We will then make the shades with appropriate deduction for the inside mount. NOTE: Min. 2 to 2 1/2 inch window depth opening is required for inside mount.

Please Remember - "1/8” Accuracy" to your Measurements Window measurements must be accurate within 1/8". With outside mounts, round your measurements up or down to the nearest 1/8". With inside mounts, always round down to the nearest 1/8". Rounding up could result in a blind/shade that is too wide to fit within the window opening.
